DESCRIPTION

FORTIA is the first independent energy supplier in the Iberian market, with customers in Spain and Portugal. We are mainly focused on providing added value to the energy management of our customers:

CONCERNING VOLUME:
by advising on the hours (daily/weekly modulation) and periods (modulation in the medium term) to optimize the purchase of energy.

CONCERNING PRICES:
by providing the best information when making decisions related to the purchase of both spot and forward market rates.

FORTIA customers are benchmark companies in their sectors of activity. We include the service to more than 20 industrial groups in different relevant sectors of the economic activity, with more than 100 production plants in Spain and Portugal. We manage more than 11 TWh per year, almost 4% of the demand of the Iberian Electricity Market (MIBEL), with a very modulable load curve and, in many cases, interruptible.

HISTORY

Our origin traces back to September 2007, when a group of major consumers with an industrial profile, leaders in their sectors, joined FORTIA ENERGÍA supplier to independently confront the liberalization of the electricity sector and, therefore, the elimination of industrial electricity tariffs fixed up to that moment by the State General Administration.
On July 1, 2008 FORTIA makes the first power matching in the OMIE market to supply its partners. Since then, FORTIA has been working on a competitive procurement process for its customers and engaging directly with wholesale markets.
